James Humbert Craig

Born in 1877 in Belfast, Craig was the son of Belfast Tea Merchant Alexander and wife Marie a Swiss National. They Lived in Belfast and Bangor but Craig loved to travel both abroad and local and had a great fondness for the Glens of Antrim and Cushendun. His scenes depicted much of what Irish life had to offer in those times, local markets, farming, fishing, industry and of course the beauty of it all within. He died in his cottage at Cushendun on 12th June 1944.
