Basil Blackshaw

Basil Joseph Blackshaw HRUA, HRHA was a Northern Irish artist specialising in animal paintings, portraits and landscapes and an Academician of the Royal Ulster Academy. He Lived most of his life in Co.Antrim and had a passion for horse racing, greyhounds and fighting cocks. He also painted the people who moved in these circles and the landscapes in which they lived.
